I am getting ready to buy a GFD, not sure on which one yet but need to know if I should get one with it's own power connector or one without. I have a 250W PS. Wondering if I need a 300+ Watt power supply to use one either way? I am looking at the one on overclockerz for $18.99. Any one used this one? any good/bad experiences? thanks.

well a 250 will work..but i recommend a 300! if you are going to overclock and put a few case fans...go with the 300, u will need it.

it should run fine on the 250 tho.

I'm using a TD2 GFD and it has not external power connection. I got it from www.highspeedpc.com. It is very small and a snap to use....I think you would be ok with a 250 watt PS, but I agree with JokerF15..300 would be better..

Thanks. Just took the plunge and ordered one. I have a 500 Classic week 46. Hopefully I have at least a 600 core but think it will be 650. Going to crack er open tomorrow.
