Hey people.
I've just bought a GFD2(http://www.highspeedpc.com/TD2Settings.htm) and installed it on my processor, that went smoothly and everything seemed ok.
I just have one small problem, it seems like that everytime i modify the vcore with the GFD2, the computer stops working, the monitor is only flashing.
Right now im running in 650Mhz and with the vcore settings set to center (dip5-8). (this making vcore setting = 1.6, standard)
Anyone else had the same problem? I can easily set the clock to 700
Mhz, but then the computer (windows 2k) vill popup all kinda weird errors, my guess is that it needs a higher vcore? I just wanna know howto change it :)
My specs,
Asus K7M, Classic Atlon 600 slotA with GoldenORB, 2x128MB Mosel cas2, Asus V7700 Geforce2 GTS with BlueOrb, live! 1024..etcetc.
Please help if you know what to do :)

TD2 uses no external power connection right? It might be the problem. I have a GFD that uses external power, and has no problem adjusting the voltage. I also have a 600Mhz classic K7 and K7M. but I can not clock my CPU above 700Mhz, probably due to L2 cache problem.

Im just wondering one thing.. the jumpers on the MB, have you modified those?

niclas: no.. I left it at default.

trueimage: the power connection broke? you can probably solder it back on on yourself.. just make sure you connect the right power and ground line to it.

edit: correct the bold in the text.. wasn't thinking when I posted.

I have the same GFD....mine was on backwards :) The picture is very confusing. From what I saw, I thought the picture w/ the exposed CPU was the back (plastic casing removed), but it is actually the front (core). The jumpers are to face the same side as the core is. My screen kept flashing as well when this happened. If this is not your problem, it is because you have it OCed too high for the voltage you set it at. Once i try to hit 900mhz, my screen flashes and it doesnt boot properly

Heya people!
I've got my classic 600 running in 750 now _stable_ :)
I used these jumpers on the motherboard and raised the vcore, then i just raised the multiplier with the GFD ..and voila! It worked..I can boot 800Mhz aswell..but not very stable then ;)

Thank you all.

Don't forget guys too...your gonna have to change your L2 cache speed. If your motherboard does not support L2 cache speed change then get a program called MATHLON that will change your L2 cache speed.
