It seems that there is issues between that motherboard and all GF4MX based boards!!

Is there someone which know something about that?

Could you please tell me where you found this? I have a K7T266 Pro2 and although I probably will not upgrade from my Geforce3 Ti200, It would be good to find out more about what is coming up..

Going from a GF3 Ti200 to a GF4MX wouldn't be an upgrade anyway

I've heard more: some french hardware sites are relaying the info. The info comes from guys working in big pc stores.
The bugs were:

"- Démarrage aléatoire,
- Bugs d?affichage à l?allumage,
- Bugs graphiques divers sous Windows,
- Tension d?utilisation supérieure à celle de certaines cartes mères,
- Refus de démarrer de la carte-mère"

I will try to translate: "random reboot, bugs on display at boot-time (?), bugs under windows (???), too high voltages needed than those provided by some motherboards, no bootup"

The problem seems to have been recognized by MSI. I go on their web to see if there's something new.

Caught something more on another site:

Compatibility list between motherboards and GeForce4MX from Sparkle and Leadtek:

AOpen AK77Pro(A)-133 (KT266A) : Ok
ABIT KG20 (AMD 761) : Ok
ABIT KR7A-RAID (KT266A) : Ok
ASUS A7V266-E (KT266A) : Ok
ABIT VH6T (Pro133T) : Ok
ECS K7S5A (SiS 735) : Ok
Leadtek 7350KDA (SiS 735) : Ok
ECS K7VZA/100 (KT133) : Ok
Gigabyte GA-7VTX (KT266) : Ok
Gigabyte GA-7VTXE (KT266A) : Boot en AGP 2x
MSI 845Ultra-AR (i845B) : Ok
MSI K7T266 Pro2-RU (KT266A) : Problème de boot aléatoire
MSI K7N420 Pro (nForce 420) : Ok
Supermicro P3TDDE (Pro266T) : Ok

As you can see, everything's ok except for the MSI and the Gigabyte, with Sparkle and Leadtek's GeForce4MX. Tests with the PixelView didn't show any problem. Tests with Gainward and PNY shows problems on 10 to 20% of cases.

You can check it out on www.inpact-hardware.com and on www.hardware.fr.

Well, hopefully everyone with these boards will have enough sense to not buy a gf4mx anyways. They're not great cards.

Yea, but I wonder if this mobo is having troubles with the GF4MX, will it have trouble with the GF4 Ti 4x00s? That would be a serious bummer, as I'm very close to talking myself into that Ti 4400 deal over at Gateway..

Well, I was also looking for a reason to upgrade to an Epox mobo.. :)

cheers,
