Thread says it all, my MSI GeForce4, which until now has faithfully served as my leading video edge in my intel machine, has been replaced. So now it becomes a handmedown to my amd machine... That was the plan all along. Except it WON'T FIT!! The card is pretty long, but apparently, it's SO long, that it comes into conflict with the ram on the motherboard. This is bare ram too, no ramsinks or anything. Any ideas? I couldn't find any evidence of anyone else ever having this problem.

It shouldnt actually be touching the RAM, maybe just blocking the DIMM clips, which is a prominent problem with several motherboards right now, but some companies are fixing it.

Which card do you have? Im assuming its a Ti 4400/4600 since they are the longer of the GF4 series.

In my older box it wouldn't fit a ti4600. I had to take out 2/3 of the dimms and it almost touched the third. Now I have a ti200 in it, but the ti4600 worked fine, expect for losing 128mb of ram when its in.

My Ti 4600 is very long, but it does not actually cross the ram sockets on any of the motherboards I've had it in. However it is necessary to remove the video card to take ram out of or to put ram into 2 of the sockets.
