I have a gainward GF4 4600. I have a DSS decoder hooked up into the GF4 via S-video. I noticed something funny with the picture. Normally, the picture looks good, but on screens with text or lines (i.e. guide screens and menus in general), I am experiencing screen jitter.
I had a similar setup working with my ATI TV Wonder card without any screen jitter.
If I record a video with either card, the resulting video does not exhibit any jitter.
I have used the following programs with both setups:
Power VCR II
Win DVR
Dscaler (Only with ATI. I can't get this program to work with GF4.)
ATI's TV tuner program (I also have a ATI TV Wonder card)
I am pretty sure this is a harware issue since jitter only occurs with GF4 with every piece of software. Does anyone else notice this? Is this a known issue?
BTW, if anyone can get Dscaler to work with the ATI card, please respond. Thanks.
