Howdy folks,

I've been using a GF4 MX-440 for some time now and love the feature for Fullscreen mirroring of video to my TV: I can run an mpeg or divx in a windowed player (with my desktop using a decent 1280x1024 res) and at the same time have the video displayed full-screen on my 29" TV.

There is one small glitch that has been bothering me all the time and I was wondering if any of you guys know how to fix it or at least have an explanation to the behavior.. most video files (.avi & .mpeg) are directly shown in fullscreen whenever I start them on Media Player - which is nice - but it seems that there are some .avi files that just wont be displayed in fullscreen even when the video runs perfectly fine on Media Player. The only difference is probably that they use another codec or something.

I've found a workaround for it though.. I'll just start those avi files in the DivX player 2.0 (the one that comes with the divx 5.02 bundle) and fullscreen we go!

It would be nice to get the automatic full-screen mirroring working in one player though.. especially since you can't distinguish between the avi files by their file extensions.. otherwise I could just assosiate the right kind of files to the working player. So, anybody got an idea how I could get all avi files to use the video fullscreen mirroring?

I am using the newest detonator 40 driver (just downloaded it from nvidia site a couple of days ago) and win2k with 7.01 media player.

bump.. what are your experiences using GF4 cards (and nView) for TV-out? I chose my card mainly because of the good secondary display features.. the nView 2.0 specs looked good. Anybody come across any reviews for dual-display.. all Graphic Card reviews have been mostly concerned with the 3D performance. It would be nice to see for example how Radeon and GeForce 3 & 4 cards compare in dual display and TV-out usage.
