very nice, but do those extra 10 fps ABOVE AND BEYOND 140+ fps really warrant spending 100+ more ?

Actually, it may not turn out to be that much at all ProjectPat. You can already find a Ti 500 for $319. I think Nvidia is starting to lower their prices because of the Radeon 8500.
