I figured I could just sell off my Gainward GF3 Ti200 and possibly get an MSI GF4 Ti4200. My Ti200 works well but I stutter in a lot of games.. I usually only play at 1024x768 anyway.. and I like to have at least aniso filtering and quincunx on

I play RtCW, GTA3, and CS mostly

should I even bother?

 You're unlikely to see a significant improvement unless your CPU is Athlon1.4ghz+ or P41.6ghz+. What CPU are you running?

:) I tend to advise those with GF3 or Rad8500 cards to sit tight as a lot will go down over the next few months and although the faster cards are ... well faster, you tend not to get a big boost unless your CPU is close to the top-of-the-range. See what you can get for your GF3 and way it up, but your money may be better spent on things like RAM or a new CPU and simply be ready to pounce when the NV18, NV28, NV30 and budget Rad9700 are out and reviews are available. For anybody with a card less than the above then it certainly is worth upgrading, at least that's MHO anyway.

;) You'd certainly be in the region to get some excellent perf out of a 4200. Not only does 4200 o/c excellently but it also has better QxAA too. Your boost may not be out of this world but it should be more than noticable. I guess you just need to see what you could get for your GF3 and then weigh up whether the added cost is worth it or not. Take a look at THIS link to see how GF3 and GF4TI scale as CPU speed increases.
