GF3 Ti200 - AGP4x - WINXP - Lockups

I noticed, since I put my new Visiontek GF3 Ti200 on, in winxp, with the newest 4.36 via drives, and Nvidia 23.11 drivers, if I change my bios from 2x to 4x AGP, I get hard locks in XP.
Anyone else notice this?
What causes this? I have an ASUS A7V133 mb with 1007 bios

Welcome to the Whose Ball Is It Anyway ? Is it NVidia ? VIA ? Microsoft ?

I am having the exact same problem. If you want a stable system, then use the Microsoft-certified driver version 21.83.
