GF3 Ti200 @ 240/550.. what now?

I now have my Gainward GF3 Ti200 at 240/550 with stock cooling and ASII on the core.. how much higher do you think I can take it? Personally, I won't leave the card at this speed 24/7 just to be on the safe side. I'll mainly have the card running at 220/500 or lower. I get around 7879 3DMarks. It ain't great but theres room for improvement 🙂

Specs:
Epox 8KHA+ Kt266a
Athlon XP 1700+ 1.466 (not OCed)
Crucial 512mb PC2100 DDR
Gainward GF3 Ti200 @ 240/550
IBM 60GXP

I wish I bought a Radeon 8500 instead though. This card gives me gamma problems.

How do you only get that score? I have broken 8100 a few times at 150fsb on my 8KHA+ xp1600 combo and my visiontek is only at 210/460 or so. I have backed down on my FSB as I think my video card cant take being oc'ed that much at that high FSB. I cant the card any higher then 210/470 or so no matter what. Last nite I hit 7950+ with 145fsb. You should be getting higher (try bumping the FSB up for the fun of it 😀

r u sure man???...i have 8kha+ also...but not athlon xp...just a ayhja 1gig at 1500...my gainward ti200 is at 230/530 and i get a score of 8400+...push it man...push it...athlon xp will get more scores for ya

I wouldn't recommed increasing the FSB if u have a 40gb western digital hard drive. i did it before and all my data got corrupted.

what 3dmark settings are you guys using? i have an XP1800 and you guys are getting almost 1000 pts more than me...scored 7111

HenHow have you OC'd your video card? Do you have a high FSB? Are your memory settings optimal? These are major ways to improve 3dMark scores. Oh, and latest Nvidia drivers also.

Yep, something as simple as increasing AGP aperature size from 64 to 128, gave me a 700+ increase.

Also, unlike other cards, it seems like the Ti200's get much higher performance increases
by overclocking the core Vs the memory. For each 5 Mhz core increase, 3DMark 2001
increases about 50 points. Memory seems take a 50 MHz increase to gain 50 points.
I had no problem hitting 260 core on Gainward, using stock cooling. (No AS).
