GF2 - Simultaneous VGA/TVout?

Got a Gainward GF2ti450 VIVO here.
When I enable the TV out the monitor goes blank.
I've been told that's not how it works, but the people telling me this of course are talking about their buddy's computer and a vague memory.

Is there a set of drivers that enables this? Some trick? As is it's useless to even have the TV out for what I want to do since I need the monitor displayed, even if it is at a lower resolution.

Other particulars:
OS - W2K
Driver version - 30.82

Thanks,

I believe this was a function on the GF2-MX, and I've heard that there's a GF2-GTS-T variant tha will do this. But what you described is how it works on my TNT based card, because the card can only do one resolution, so it's either the TV or the VGA, not both. But you'll need to have the "twinview" feature enabled if it's available.

I have a similar card only its Gf2 Ti500 ViVo.

Once you hook up the Svideo to the TV, you cannot see from your monitor. So if you want your TV as the desktop screen use the Svideo cable. If not, sorry bro out of luck

GF2 only has 1 Ramdac for the monitor NOT 2 of them like on the GF4 or ATI Radeon 8500 or above.

nope, not out of luck. As I said before, use tvtool. You can display both at the same time, though limited to your max res of the TVout. Remember that tvouts display at 60hz (tv's and vcrs can't do more) so your monitor will too.
