GF2 PRO question

Do all gf2 pros run at 200 mhz core and 400 mhz ram? Someone is claiming that he has a gf2 pro but he says his core is 200 mhz and his ram is 333 mhz. i think that was gf2 gts speeds. thanks ahead of time.

All GF2 Pro's have a 200/400 clock at least, one or two manufacturers shipped GF2 Pro's that were guaranteed to overclock a small amount beyond that.

A few manufacturers shipped GeForce2 GTS Pro's, which clocked in at 200/366... but they werent true Pro's they were pretty much GTS cards that tried to cash in on the Pro hype.

The classic GTS of course runs at 200/333.

If his card runs at 200/333 then he's got a GTS there not a Pro. And that 70MHz memory clock differential makes quite a performance difference for the bandwidth constrained GF2 core.

A manufacturer (forget which one exactly) advertised a regular GeForce2 GTS card as a GeForce2 GTS Pro, which may have lead to your friend's confusion. A GF2 Pro is normally clocked at 200/400.

thanks guys that's what i was thinking too but just wanted to ask the expert advice of fellow ATers. I think that company is MSI because according to his model number the msi webpage shows it as the gf2 gts pro.
