I have an abit siluro geforce2 MX 32mb card with 6ns ram
the card came with no fan, just a small heat sink.

Anyway, I'm running on a BX (Abit BE6 v1 w/ latest bios) board w/ a P3 600E, and if i raise my bus even 3mhz, 3d games and apps totally lock up.

this is using the det2 (5.2x), det 3 6.31whql reference, and 6.34 reference betas in win2k and all those plus 6.35 beta for winME.

My processor can run fine at 744 (124hmz bus), but all games crash with the MX as opposed to my former v3 3k.

This card is not overclocked yet.
would putting a fan on the heatsink help a whole lot, or just a little?

also, my 3dmark scores are only 3250 when running @ 100 mhz bus with a p3 600e.
I did a clean install of both winME and win2k pro, and they both do the same thing.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Try changing the AGP BIOS settings. Going from memory, the BE6 should have an AGP option with default, normal and fast as the setting options. The normal option limits the card to 1X AGP. The fast setting enables sideband support. Default lets the card itself determine the transfer rates. Also try changing the AGP aperture settings, either up or down from what you use now.
There's a known stability problem when sideband support is combined with the fast write capability of the GeForce, make sure the cards BIOS/drivers disables side banding.
I've run various GeForce cards on an Abit BF6(similar to the BE6) up to 140MHz FBS with minimal problems as long as sidebanding was turned off.

I've played around with the arpature (sp?) size, but that helped none.

There is no option for the speed of the agp that i saw, only init display, which is irrelevant, but ill check again.
