I have a GF2 MX from Hercules.

I just buy a Blue Orb ( I want to do some OC ) but I need to remove the heat sink.

I heard a lot of stories about how to remove it but I also heard that it is very dangerous.

Can you help me with step by step ?

Thank you very much

BTW

I donot have any guarrante on this video card, and it costs a lot of money.

Although I've yet to do this myself, I've heard of many people sucessfully removing the heatsink by placing the card in a plastic bag zipper bag, and then putting in the freezer. After 30-45 minutes the stock heatsink should come right off. You then need to clean off the old glue (my advice would be to CAREFULLY scrap it off with a razor knife), after that apply a little heatsink compound and use the pushpins to secure the Blue Orb into place.

hmm. I just use a knife and CAREFULLY pry up around the chip. Doesn't take long. It does take a little force to do so it is scary. Just be very careful if you do it this way
