GF2 monitor shuts off

I have an Asus v7700 pure 32 meg, running nVidia detonators 6.47. this occurs with all 6.xx versions of the dets. If I full-screen a command prompt and then un-fullscreen it, the monitor shuts off (not truly off, since the LED is flashing faster). It is like sleep/suspend mode.

Anyone know how to fix it?
