I just picked up a GeForce2 Pro 64mb DDR.. the stock heatsink/fan on the GF2 looks pretty decent, but i have a new blue orb laying around. i was wondering if the blue orb would be an improvement over the stock HS/F? thanks!

It's an improvement but not necessary. Look at the overclocking stats for GF2, you don't gain much by increasing GPU speed. GF2 is limited by memory bandwidth so you gain more performance by upping mem speed. But regardless the blue orb does look bad ass, plus having some more air circulating around there might help to cool the mem a little. I say go for it as long as you have an open PCI slot below your AGP.

I find that the blue ORB does not Change the Temp at all While The GPU is Idled. But On mine when I crank it up to full load it is vastly cooler in fact the temp doesnt change more than 1 - 2c over its 47c idled temp :)

I say go for it Just make sure it makes good contact with the chip.

Oh and if you have those cool ram GPU ram heatsinks Put them on too.
They Problably dont do much but look cool ;)
