I was just wondering, I have these two older cards....

which one is better?

NVIDIA GF2 GTS 64meg
ATI 7000 64 DDR w/ S-video and DVI Out

My guess is the 7000.

my guess would honestly be the GF2 GTS.... I had a Radeon 7000, and it was nothing better than a 2D card... horrible 3D performance!

I would have to say GF2, they were the top dog of their time, I still have my GF2 Ti 64 mb ddr and it scores about a 5500 on 3dmark01. Can't beat that for a card that is several years old

If your planning on using Tv out then go with the Radeon, the older Geforce cards are/were notorous for thier awful tvout display.

If its just for gaming then the geforce would be ok, but that depends on the brand due to potential image quality concerns..

overall though, The radeon 7000 isnt that much slower than a Gf2 in 3d, so if you value your eyes i would still pick the radeon.

Both cards are ancient, its not like theres a game out that a GF2 will play alot better than a 7000 would, unless your worried about getting 100+ fps in a old game like Quake 3. With that in mind, I think IQ is where the decision should come down to, and with that the 7000 would win hands down.

Definitely the GF2 64 GTS. I have a backup system with a GF2-Ultra and it smokes the hell out of another system with an ATI 9000 with 64mb of ram. The 9000 is definitely in the kiddy machine. The old GF2-Ultra is impressive with it's ability to keep up with current games given enough cpu firepower behind it. (XP 2500 Barton and dual channel ddr400 ram).

EVEN TNT2 Ultra can smoke Radeon 7000 in certain games... definately GTS! As said before, it's like comparing a radeon 9800 with an FX5200
