To be honest, I'd avoid all WiMax phones since it's a dead technology. Sprint is clearly going towards LTE in the future. If you can wait, the Galaxy Nexus for Sprint will probably be announced at CTIA in May. Otherwise, if you must buy a phone now, go with the Galaxy S II.

This, though the latest rumor says mid-April for the Sprint Nexus.

The SGS2 Epic is a very good phone though, very powerful hardware and a beautiful screen.

Pretty much this. The Epic Touch is a fantastic phone and is soon to get ICS also which is nice. There have been ~10 leaked versions and has been working fantastic for me. But I also agree, LTE is the future, and WiMax is done. The upside for me is I am not in a WiMax or LTE area so don't really worry about it as I doubt LTE will cover my area for 2+ years.

BTW if it is a new line, amazon has the Epic Touch for free.
