GF Ti 4600 Question

Hey Guys I'm not a gamer (no time busy Radiologist) Wish I had time though
Anyway I just bought this card for $115 and mostly what I do is video editing. DVD copying, Photoshop, video streaming.
What do you think about the card. Oh I'll be using it on the Poweredge deal 400 SC 3.2 gig P4

Any advice would be helpfull?

I am running the Ti4600 in 2 of our 3 rigs. The kids box has a GF3 which will eventually migrate to a Ti4600 when I upgrade my box.

I am using the Ti in my box right now for a bit of gaming and the very thing you want to use yours for. It will serve you well in that capacity I assure you. For $115 you made a decent choice.

At the moment I am running my card with the 40.72 (the latest WHQL for this card) with no problems whatsoever. On my wifes machine, I am running the 45.23s with no trouble. You should have good luck with that card I would imagine. Enjoy.

With all the talk here of ATI 9700 Pro. I didn't know if I made the right choice.

I might upgrade in a year or so.

Dear risingphoenix, that is a great price! I bought mine when they first came out ($400.00 at the time) and paid $380.00 ! I thought that was a good deal. I have not had a single problem wiith my TI4600! I love it. I don't care about all the hype, and I'm getting a GForce FX 5900 Ultra. ATI may be good, but not good enough with the driver support.

9700 pro is complete overkill if you aren't going to be gaming. For the things you mentioned a ti4600 will have more than enough power. Actually, those apps aren't really very video card intesive at all, and you could get away with an even cheaper video card if you wanted to. $115 really is a great price for a ti4600 though.
