She just found out she can graduate in December and she needs an internship. Her GPA at graduation should be like a 3.7. The degree is in fashion merchandising with a minor in marketing. She said she would be happy with anything fashion/marketing/interior design related. Needs to be in or around Akron (Cleveland and Canton work too).
If any of you guys know of an opening or know of anything around here we would really appreciate it.
Thanks
Edit:
To those wondering about fashion merchandising and if its "the new psychology" its not. It is one of the more work intensive majors available. Most of her classes were business or marketing related but had an emphasis on the fashion industry. It sets you up to be able to run a business in fashion. It can be owning your own line and marketing it or managing designers to get their designs out or even going into interior design. Regardless its what she enjoys and thats what really matters.
The fact some people need prestige from their job to feel better about themselves is kinda sad. I am really glad she has the guts to go into a major that gets responses like "isnt that like hanging t-shirts at walmart" and do well in it and not care about how its looked at. I dont believe being an elitist and trying to put someone down because you perceive them as less educated or dumber than you reflects well on yourself.
O and to add to her scholastic record she is graduating a semester early, she worked ~30hr weeks the whole 3.5 years, had a 4.0 her first 2 semesters, and studied abroad in Florence, Italy for a semester.
