i knew something was missing from your story. You paid to have her stuff moved into your house -- good luck explaining to a judge or the police why you are not responsible for returning her stuff.

Well thanks I guess

I'm just moving her stuff in a truck and the rest she is doing on her end. Probably cost me $500

No date set she's just gonna call me later to find out when.

Have you considered offering to help her move the stuff out? I know it sounds crazy to be the bigger person and all, but maybe try it this time? If she has a place to put the stuff, this would be the quickest way to be done with it.

Just to be clear, she wanted/tried to move the stuff out already but you said no since the movers were uninsured?

No we broke up an hour ago, lol. Words were exchanged and we were upset.

She's renting the truck and I'm taking a day off work and hiring movers to put them in the truck shell hire ppl to unload at her house.

She just left the house but the girl is not right in the head.

I believe you Aimster. Of course, I believe that you aren't, either. Just how much crystal have you done in your life? What about bath salts? Cocaine?

best way for you or us? best way for you is to let her move her shit out and not tell her who she has to hire. the best way for us is continue what you are doing so you get arrested.

!!!!!

What would be so hard about keeping an eye on the Mexicans from in front of Home Depot while they put her shit in a truck?

Hasn't Aimster been proven to be a lying sack of shite?
I recall a bunch of his threads on Fusetalk.

Aimster was one of the regular trolls here on Anandtech...way before Trident and Neckbeard arrived.

She also lives there and that means she can let anyone in she wants. It's her residence and all you can do is whine on the internt about it. You can't even stop her from coming in.

I don't understand why you'd want to put that restriction. Don't you want her out of there faster? I would actually help her move the stuff out just to make the process faster so you can have the house to yourself again. :p

If you are worried about her getting injured and suing you, I guess that's a valid concern. Just move it ALL for her. Drop it right at the edge of your property while she loads it in her vehicle. If she gets hurt off your property then I don't think she can sue.

you aren't getting it. She can hire people from criegslist, walmart, or ask teh lock druggies down the street and you don't have a fucking say in it.

IF she calls the cops you can be arrested. At the least they will let her get her stuff out (with said druggies). so in the end its going to be anyone she wants and you won't have a say.

worst case? you end up in jail and she takes whatever the hell she wants.

And what happens when the druggie "slips" and falls down the stairs. Who do you think they are going to sue?

Anyways, have her sign a liability release (and anyone who she might bring) and let her move.

It would depend if op added her name to the papers or such for without any proof she lives there then it would be her word against his and she would loose without anything to back her up.

Granted she can still get her stuff back but for letting anyone in without any permission it wouldn't be allowed.

Totally just got trolled, buy anyway, I'll put in my two cents.

Think of it this way. She can get her family to come move the furniture. You can't deny a mover to move something that you don't own. If it was YOUR couch, yes, you can, but it's not, so it can be moved by my freaking grandmother if that's how she wanted it moved.

My girlfriend (ex) moved her stuff to my house. There are boxes of stuff everywhere and furniture all over the place.

Well....we aren't together anymore. I refuse to allow her to get uninsured people to move her stuff out of the house. If she wants people to come move stuff she can get a moving company. She doesn't have money for that. Too bad.

What can she do legally? I don't care about being sued, I just don't want police at my door, she is saying shell call the police. Police can't force me to do anything right?
this is a civic manner right?

Depends on your state law.

You may now own everything like according to Oklahoma law.

Have the movers sign a waiver upon entry.

This would be your best bet for two reasons.

One is it would prevent them from suing you for "getting hurt" on your property as you would be at fault then and the other is it will scare many crappy ones that don't care about your property away.
