GF 6600 vs. 6600GT

The 6600 can be had for ~$130 while the 6600GT is at least $175. The 6600 has twice the video memory (256MB) of the 6600GT. How much better is the GT?

Fromt he graphs at Tom's it looks like it's almost twice as fast in a lot of the benches.

The memory on the GT is lightyears ahead of the memory on the 6600, don't be decieved by RAM size. Think of it this way, a 2 lane highway with slow moving traffic is the 6600, and a one lane highway with really fast moving traffic is the GT. 1000 MHz vs. 550 MHz thats a big difference! Plus the latency on the GT's RAM is also lower. 🙂 And as you can see, the charts are pretty convincing.

Bro dont even mention the non GT version. The Gt is THE BEST video card "bang for the buck" on the market right now. I am going to buy a GT as you will do too!
