Okay, here's the deal. I had an old system w/80gb IDE hd running winXP.
I put up a new system with 200gb SATA hd and my old 80gb IDE hd. I'd like to load windows on the 200gb hard drive and have it function as the boot drive. I installed XP to the drive, but now there are some problems:
a) computer puts all the 80gb drive's partitions first, then 200gb drive's partitions, except for the partition with new copy of XP, which goes after the C: from the 80gb
b) 200gb hd is set to load first in BIOS, but cannot do so without winXP CD; says NTLOADER or something is missing. When I boot from XP CD, then it gives me option which winXP to load (from old hd or new)
I'd like to boot from the 200gb drive and have its partitions show up first, then the 80gb partitions. Any way to accomplish this? Thanks.
ps. willing to format the 80gb drive if necessary.
