So I've done my first ever successful Linux install and I'm sort of liking it. Linux detects my wireless card but I can't find any way in Gnome to select my wireless network. Also... my mouse scroll wheel doesn't work... :(

Is the driver module for your network card loading?

Have you bothered to add the information about your scroll wheel to your /etc/X11/XF86Config?

I have no idea how to do either...

I don't know if the driver module is loading, but under my network settings, it lists ethr and wlan. The wlan one actually references my USB controller because my wireless adapter is USB.

The wlan entry doesn't let you put in IP settings? What does ifconfig -a tell you? Is your wireless card supported?

Google the other one. It's been answered plenty of times before you asked it.

Check to see if the driver loaded on your system first. You may not need to install anything.

Looking at the instructions, I'd check /etc/wlan (well, I would have pasted the information from ifconfig -a here first..).

What chipset is this wireless thingy? If it is prism2.x, check the USB section of the README.
