Getting Windows 10 to recognize drivers

I had some issues where Windows 10 was using the 'Microsoft Basic Display Adapter' drivers instead of the AMD drivers for the RX 480.

However it worked out, installing the vendor-specific drivers ended up seeming to get it working.

Until today. When dealing with the earlier issues, I'd tried moving the graphics card from one MB slot to another, but it looks like the original slot is the recommended one, and just to rule out any problem with that as being related to some issues where the PC sometimes powers down, I decided to put the card back in the recommended slot this morning.

After doing so, the system now only sees the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter again.

The question is - what's the recommended way to get it to see and use the AMD graphics driver instead?

Nevermind - I moved the card back to the 'wrong' slot, and it works again. It looks like I have a motherboard problem, despite this being a 'new' motherboard sent by RMA, said to be tested.
