Getting tracking # before shipping...possible?

I got an email from a guy I'm dealing with, and it says..

Your package will ship today USPS priority mail. The
tracking number is 0310 xxxx 0005 2966 4259

He probably dropped it off last night or early this morning, and the truck carrying the package just hasn't left yet.

He just had the priority stickers at home, he told you the number of the one he put on your box. Just because he gave you the number does not mean that it has shipped.

Yea if U guys didn't know you can take the Confirmation slips home 2, that way you dont have to fill them out at teh post office, I always have at least 10 in my house, so I just fill them out and dont have to make the line 2 times.

You can order these right from the USPS by mail too. I have a big stack out in my hallway. Bunch of everything for priority too actually (boxes, address slips, ins. slips, tape, etc.)

fedex and usps allows you to print the label from your machine.. and just drop it off at the local box. There fore you can have the tracking numbers.

I am sure that USPS does that.
