Yeah so going from Rosarito to back in the States, I knew it'd be a long journey. I heard people saying 2-3 hours in line. So basically, the traffic part of the portion began at 9pm on a Sunday.

In traffic for less than 3 minutes when we got hit by the infamous window washers. They spray toilet/sewer/mud water on your windshield and start wipin' away. So now I'm like, great... and lost my first $1 bill on this 'journey'.

Go around some curve, and made it into the carpool lane. Instead of double yellows, there are actual physical blockade blocks that prevent people from entering/leaving. Great! Hopefully it'll be less painful if no one else can merge.

Then I see a sign. Carpool Lane - 3 Personas o Mas. Perfect. So now I'm stuck and hoping I don't get a ticket.

But wait!

One of the blockade blocks is positioned in a way that can let out cars, but it's blocked by an orange cone. "Luckily", there are some children, and there's a child (a girl, probably around 10 or 11) that moves the cone for me. Gracious for the 'help' (how convenient...) another $1 bill slips by. By the way, most or all the children are selling gum, or impressively juggling 4 oranges at the same time. Wow.

Not much else happens while slowly waiting until we reach the border. People selling drinks, snowcones, sparkling Jesus, etc. There are about 24 lanes for cars to get through, and its already about 10:30pm. Finally it's our turn, and the conversation goes like this:

United States Border Patrol Dude: "You buy anything in Mexico?"
Us: "Nope."
USBPD: "What country is your citizenship?"
Us: "U.S.?"
USBPD: "Have a nice day."

And that's it. Home from the border is about 140 miles north.

Cliffs:
-2.1 miles at border crossing at 95 minutes

Well, if you're stupid enough to go down there then you deserve to wait in line for hours trying to get home.
