Getting this X800XL AGP is there anything I should do or know?

Before I install it, will 420W Generic PSU be good enough?

I have a Radeon 9600 Pro now should I unistall the drivers first?

It's the built By ATI one will it have the power adapter?

another thing what does the power cord look like or is called that plugs into this card? do you have a picture I could see to see if I have the right one?
 
Bump the store is opening in a about 2 hours, and yes I checked to make sure the long video card would fit, I might have to move my HD but it clears my Mem Slots.
 
I ran mine with an antec 300W and it worked just fine. The power connector is the same one used for your cd drives, you WILL have one, if you don't have one free, a Y adapter comes with the card so you should have no worries.

Do uninstall your drivers and download the 5.7 Catalyst drivers.

It's also a good idea to download DriverCleaner and run it after the uninstall. DriverCleaner

 
x800xl and 6800gt costs the same in agp, i believe. so maybe you'd want one of those depending on what games you play that will perform better than the x800xl.Text

Not here in Canada they don't.

ATi is pretty much cheaper in almost all cases here.

yeah I'm in Canada and everywhere around me the 6800GT is like $500 + tax I just got the X800XL for $330 + Tax

going to try it out right now !
 
I just tried it out, pretty cool all though I Only have 512 MB of ram Farcry looks real good I think I need more ram I ordered 1 GB I hope it's enough.
