Getting the right monitor refresh rate

I've got a Leo comfortview 17cx and a voodoo3. Running at 1024x768 the maximum refresh rate of the monitor is 85Hz. There are no drivers for the monitor I've got, set to a pnp monitor 75hz is the maximum refresh rate allowed. I usually set up the monitor as a viewsonic 17gs and that gives me 85Hz as an option. The problem is I have just reinstalled win98 and I can't get any option higher than 75hz for any resolution, even thought its set up with the viewsonic drivers. Is there any way to force a certain refresh rate?😕
