Getting the GTO nevermind!

OK Ive found quite of bit of these under Cars.com in my area and this interests me quite a bit more. Give me some info please!

It's a Civic... it's not going to snap your neck with its acceleration, but it fast enough. My friend just bought an EX sedan in February... it's pretty nice, but probably not as sporty as something like a Mazda 3.

If you're interested in 1/4 mile times, something tells me the Civic is not for you.
You won't have any trouble merging in traffic, but it's still an econobox, not a racecar.

yeah...if you want neck snapping performance, it won't be sipping fuel, which most consumers buy civics for. the mileage.

Some good aftermarket sites would be nice too. Im totally against ricing vehicles out but I want to add maybe some rims and a set of nice tires so anything like that would be appreciated. Im mostly going for this car because of the excellent MPG.

Well I just want to make sure its not slow as hell before I buy it. If it can do in the 15's than that is good for me. As for 0-60's I want it to be at least in the 7's.

I would guess about 9 seconds 0-60 and a high 16 sec 1/4 mile. Not a race car, just a car that gets you over 35 mpg.

lol yeah, true but I dont want to go too far. If I get an exhaust its not gonna be some loud ass coffee can, I want to go with Borla and a simple 2 3inch pipe setup in 1 muffler.

Honda Civic EX Sedan

0-6 8.8 seconds
1/4 16.7 seconds @ 86mph

Just put on a CAI and it'll be a 16.65 car in no time

Why not a Scion tC? That's the ricemobile of the future anyway, and it's got a lot more HP plus available turbo right from the TRD dealer. And it's even a little cheaper.

I have the 2004 Civic DX. It's a 4 banger, not sure what the EX is. It gets SICK gas mileage, and its fricking sporty as I could ask for. Its pretty damn fast and goes when I press the gas. Get sup and goes like a badas@. I quite like it!

Well the Civic seems pretty well in my price range and I dont expect to pay too much for it so the Scion if you could direct me to it sounds pretty pricey. As for the giant wing, no f*cking wings will be going on this bitch.

Ha! Not a chance. I agree tho, the new front end looks awesome. About the only way you'll run 15's in that is nitrous/turbo/head work. Take your pick.

Mwilding, are those auto or 5-speed numbers? n/m, i see those are 5-speed numbers. Sheesh, an '04 Accord I4 AT can run 16.2😛

I had a 97 Civic EX coupe and that thing was fast enough. One the highway when I stayed at 75MPH I could get 40MPG too! Not the fastest thing in the world, but fast enough for the highways in LA and the Bay Area.

Scion tC MSRP is $17265 with automatic. It comes with one model that is simlarly outfitted to an EX Civic.
160 HP @5700RPM
163 Lb-ft @4000

Civic EX MSRP is $17660 with automatic.

The Scion is "no haggle." So you may be able to get the Civic for slightly cheaper, but not much.
