Getting the CD Code.

Is there anyway for me to be able to retrieve the cd code for my Windows Server 2003?

Doesn't work in XP or 2003, it displays the product key, which is different from the cd key.

Whats a CD Key? I do understand that the product key as installed in the computer and the COA sticker on the pc or previously on the OS manual may differ, for large OEMs. But AFAIK the cds themselves do not have any unique identifier - being mass produced in the millions - there will differences from batch to batch of course.
