getting sued for $400,000

so here's what's happening to my gf.

couple of years ago, she got into a car accident where some fat lady had ran a red light to make a left turn while my gf's car was going straight on green light. Apparently, the fat lady was waving her hands to a bus driver on the other side (her friend?) and didnt see the red light (espeically didnt see my gf's car). So... the fat lady is sueing my gf for the medical fee... which is 400,000 motha fvckin dollars when my gf is the victim who had serious case of bone bruises all over her upper body.

what da fack is wrong with our society...

The fat lady's argument is that my gf was driving fast... according to the another fat bus driver lady who was waving back to the first fat lady.
 
What exactly is she saying that makes it your gfs fault? Like how would she win the case if she obviously was the one who ran the red light?
 
Her insurance company will represent her/retain a lawyer for her. Who did the police/insurance company rule at fault? If they didn't rule your GF at fault, then the fat lady will get bitchslapped in court.
 
I'm failing to see how the fat lady has much of a case, unless you're leaving out the part where your gf gets out the car and beats her senseless.

Never use family for legal advice. EVER. Free != good advice. Get a good lawyer suited for personal injury defense or someone her insurance company recommends -- they should be paying for her lawyer.
 
Actually, the fat lady just set your gf up for a counter-suit. I'd tell your gf to sue the sh!t out of that lady now. Her lawyers should know what to do and make sure she turns them loose to get everything they can from her!

I like how you mentioned the lady is 'fat'--because my mind is trained to equate 'fat' with 'stupid' and therefore now I think this lady was a 'stupid' driver and therefore your girlfriend must be in the right.

actually, from what my gf said, the fat lady got stuck in the car and wouldnt stop screaming. lol. being fat must suck hardcore.
