Getting student loans

I just wondered if anyone had any recommendations for banks to talk to about private student loans. Due to my academic progress before I changed majors the fafsa and federal loans will not be possible for another semester. 😉 I figure I'll probably be needing about 10k to supplement my work income to pay rent and tuition for the rest of the year (summer and fall semesters included). After that I should be able to get some federal subsidized loans to help me out too. So far citibank is my number one contender just because of my past positive experiences with them but I'm open to suggestions if anyone has them.
