SO I put together a new system. P4 1.5 from a box that died on my mom, mobo mentioned above, and an XP-90 cos I want to get whatever I can out of it.
Imagine my surprise when, upon loading MBM at everything stock (but with Folading@Home running) I'm getting readings anywhere from 32 to 128 on the readings, the higher of the two being for the case, not the CPU. It will spike up to over 100 then settle down to the 60s and 70s, then spike up intermittently.
One note: th eClosest biostar board listed in the MBM config wizard is "M7TD 8" which does not exist. I think it's a typo and refers to the M7TDE, which is liek the baby brother of mine and I believe has the same sensors.
Enter speedfan. Speedfan gets readings that are similarly erratic, but not synchronized to those that MBM gets. I believe this could be due to differences in sampling frequencies, but I am not sure.
Other than flashing the BIOS, any suggestions?
