Linked
16ms response and DVI connection for $446, shipping included. Also available in black.

Compared to the NEC 1760NX and Hitachi CML174 monitors with 16ms and DVI, this is a nice alternative.
Same price, but better contrast ratio and brightness.
Also has DVI cable included (the NEC hasn't).

Not sure whether this is new for you :)

The white version is down to $426 now. Maybe the best price for an 17" LCD with 16ms and DVI right now :)

Same resolution, better response time, better brightness, better contrast, hopefully better customer service, but a bit smaller. That's it :)

I got the black one with free shipping, still before the price dropped.
Still worth the money. No dead pixels, nice monitor, and very fast shipping :)

Black one also at $426 now.

This cost about the same as the 1901FP last week after tax (in CA). 8 dead pixels policy, I think it's easier to return a Dell monitor.

Sony is uaually stylish, but this one looks very generic for some reason.

The only positive I can see is the response time.

Well the black one is down to $406. Is this one better than the planar or the NEC (the NEC is $389 shipped but no DVI).

I have this monitor, black in color, i got it for $446, should have waited two more weeks.

It's working great, no dead pixels, super sharp, colors are very nice, it's very bright, you can set it so that it adjusts the backlight level by itself.

It also has three inputs, 1 DVI and 2 15-Pin. It has a back cover and a cable routing system, so it keeps itself tidy. The built in speakers are nothing to write home about, but the headphone jack on the side might be nice to have at a LAN party.

The arm is height adjustable, works really well and it turns on it's base, I love it. Okay, maybe not that novel to some of you, but I've been using a gigantic 65lb. Viewsonic 19in CRT for the past three years, so anything this compact and swivels and turns is just joy.

I only have one regret besides not waiting for 2 more weeks, is that I should have gone for a 19in LCD, the text is just a little on the small side for me, the clarity and sharpness makes up for it, but 2 more inches... =) If you can afford to plop down ~$150 more, I'd say go for a 19 incher.

BestBuy's Dead pixel policy is 1-dead pixel with the purchase of a replacement plan, Ive gone through 4 LCDs so far and havent had any trouble returning them to get a newer & better one

I've read @ tomshardware the 16ms response time is marketing. Those panels can only display 260,000 colors @ 16ms response each. If a color is outside of the native 260,000 then the 2 closest shades are displayed alternately @ 16ms each (32ms total) to fool the eye. 32 bit desktop or playing games @ 32 bit will have more ghosting than 25ms or 20ms panels.

Marketing or not, this monitor is nice, almost a bit too bright (but you can adjust it well).
And absolutely no ghosting :)
