Getting steam prices ? Some kind of API or web service?

How does a website like this http://www.steamgamesales.com/ get steam prices? Do they just parse the html of each page or is there some other mechanism like a web service they use to get the prices?

I googled a bit and all I could find was a reference to a TF2 API, not what I was looking for.
