Have a friend of a friend who has a pretty slick app idea he wants me to look into making a reality. The concept is fairly simple, but it needs to work with his already existing google business apps. It needs to be able to pull from your google contacts, for example.

I only spent a few minutes looking around, but it wasn't very clear where to start. Is goggle app engine what I want to use to run something for biz apps customers?

Is the platform easy to work with? Well documented? What languages can I use?
