Getting songs off a Mac formatted IPOD to Windows

Anybody know if it's possible to get songs off a Mac formatted IPOD to my Windows computer? I've tried a couple diff utils to no avail, I see sites with descriptions on how to get Windows IPOD songs to a Mac but not the other way around. The IPOD updater offers to format the IPOD to Windows but that would not convert, just wipe the songs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

XPlay. Its the same thing as MacDrive as mentioned above, but specific for iPod
