This is why I suggested you find a cliff and then jump.
I dislike people who think that they are entitled to someone's domain just because they think they can make better use of it. Write her an e-mail and see if she'll sell it. Try offering double what she paid for it, or whatever it's worth to you. If she doesn't want to sell, move on and find another domain name.

Go Daddy will watch the domain for you and try to buy it when it expires. It costs about $20 and doesn't expire until you are sucessful. You can even change the choice if you give up on that one. I have them watching one for me.

Yeah I thought about it oldsmoboat, but seeing as the domain was just registered 5 days ago I'll settle for .net. Next year though, I'll be sure to check it out.
Yeah I thought the site was from 2000 at the latest when I first looked at it. But if you look at GDaddy, it'll tell you that it's only been 5 days.
