I'm not too sure on this but here is my question. i know ram is backward compatible IE you can have a board that supports ddr266 and run ddr333 on it. but how about the other way around. I really dont feel like buying another chip of ram because i have a stick of ddr 266 256mb

i was planning on getting that. also question about the speed of sempron. From what i assume sempron is AMD's version of Celeron. Not sure how that goes. But yea. I'm running a 1.6ghz p4 with 512mb. How would this board and a sempron 2400+ with 256mb fair? please give me some insites. this would be my first actual build on my own.
