Trying to think if there are any other options;

Sirius Stiletto but its nearly $250+ and I would only really use it at home.
Home Theater PC - An option, but even with used parts, will be just as expensive.

Any other ideas?

Using a standard sirius receiver won't do me any good, the home theater isn't anywhere near a window.

Any of the receivers meant for home use will have an antenna that you put in a window/outside. The stiletto isn't any different, just more portable.

I don't know about Sirius, but as an XM subscriber I can listen to XM radio on their website. I'm guessing Sirius has something similar. That would be cheap and crappy, but it would get the sounds you want coming out of the speakers you want.

i used that in the past, the XBMC worked great but the sirius was a bit too buggy for my taste...

Yea, that would be the option with the Home Theater PC... I already pay the $3/mo for the upgraded online stream, i just want it to come through my home theater....

Hmmm, maybe a wireless link from my mac upstairs to the home theater downstairs, but, no control would suck...

Luckily I get it through Dish Network as part of their package...no talk channels though.

Can't you get anything through your cable service?

Oh, I'm sorry. I read the original post as saying you had a home theater pc already.

The cable on those Sirius car antennas are 20 feet long, and you can get 50 foot extension cables for that. How far away from a window is this stereo?

Well the closest window is 10 feet away, BUT there is a big tree in front of it.. to get a clear view I would need to go 30+ feet to the patio... I also have tile floor and would prefer to not have a cable running along the ground...

Sirius Antennas <--- Check out that link, they have a "signal distribution kit" in there that might help you out.

OK... how about a wireless music bridge from your computer to your stereo? I see those kits being sold on Woot for a really cheap price all the time.

The FM transmitter on the Sirius radios is quite powerful, and depending on the distance it would probably work fairly well broadcasting from the Sirius radio to your receiver.

The absolute cheapest way to do it would be with a 1/8 inch to RCA cable from your laptop to your stereo. That's a pretty cheesy setup, though!
