getting scroll mouse to work in win2k

i have a kensington scroll mouse but i cant get the roller to work. they supposedly have a beta driver but iam to chicken to try

There ought to be a generic scroll mouse driver in Win 2000 somewhere. I just plugged my Logitech in and it worked fine from the start. Of course that was on a laptop, and it actually used the trackpoint driver I think.
