I bought an MPU thermal paste, although my Athlon FLK32 HS/Fan already came w/ some thermal paste. the MPU was incredibly hard to apply - it's like super playdoh. while the other paste was very easy to apply, although it's not as good. since I did just a crappy job using the MPU, how do I clean it off of the athlon and HS so I can use the other paste?

You can use rubbing alcohol patches.

As far as hte MPU3.7 stuff, its best applying that after its been slighly heated... i squirt some onto the heatsink, take a hair dryer to it, and let it heat up a bit... then smooth it out some, and squish it onto the cpu.

this will further thin out the layer of thermal grease. Good luck.

He already has the MPU3.7 stuff... Why should he buy more. I like the artic silver stuff a lot, but if you already have quality grease, you might as well use it.
