Getting rid of the Shortcut icon

I got a bunch of shortcuts on my desktop, and on the icons they all have the arrow icon thing in the bottom left corner to show that it's a shortcut. Anyway to get rid of that? Was just wondering. Would like the icons on my desktop to be clean/arrow free.

Always in the last place you look, i tells yas. Can i uninstall the program now that i fixed that?

it's a good program that takes up like 17k... why would you want to uninstal it?

It may only handle exisitng shortcuts. New ones could get treated with the original method.
