Getting rid of the file names in Desktop

Hi everyone, this is my first post on Anandtech and I hope someone can help me. I'm just wondering if there's a way to completely remove the file name under the desktop icon in WindowsXP Home? I'm the only one who uses the PC and I think it would look better with just the Icon.
ANY IDEAS?????

Here is an explanation on how to rename system icons in WinXP. Should work in Win2000 also.

To have no name show,
ALT + 0160 on the keypad will give you a blank character.
TransText found here will give you a transparent backround for the text.
Have fun.

Hey thanks man. I've been wanting to do that forever.

In XP remove desktop icon file names: (Goto rename file, Delete the file name, then while HOLDING ALT, type 255 then RELEASE ALT...)

For each successive icon to have the text eliminated, repeat the above sequence adding an additional Alt+255 sequence. For example, the second no text icon would be 'renamed' Alt+255 Alt+255, the third no text icon Alt+255 Alt+255 Alt+255, etc.

Thanks again
