Hello. My computer at work runs Windows 98SE, it's pretty old. During the last year, I visited hundreds of internet sites there which were not directly related to my job. Now I'm thinking of a job change.

All my passwords, user names and e-mail account names are somehow stored there on my work computer. Maybe I clicked yes to that password memorizing question, but it's pretty obvious anyone can not only use my passwords for everything they want, but they also can read all my forum posts, sometimes obscene ones (not related to this forum, obviously)!

Dear friends, is there a program (preferably free) that can take care of all those entries Windows rememebers? And is there a version of the same program for Windows XP?

Please help, I'm quitting my job real soon!

Hum you could try installing TweakUI and it has a "paranoia" feature that clears history and such at every log off... which I think would do it but you can do this as well..

In your Internet Explorer go and clear your cache and history. Then find that directory where your cache is stored and delete everything else manually (your cookies) and then again in the Internet Explorer (Tools > Internet Options > Content) you will see the boxes at the bottom saying Auto Complete -- hit that.. click on clear forms and clear passwords and you should be done in regards to that. All your stuff should be gone.. if anyone can add anything else or maybe another app that does it for free and maybe faster feel free.

I am making the assuption you have a newer version of IE btw on your 98SE OS.

Ah, I see. It's the Autocomplete feature. So no need for a special program. However, now I'm not at work and don't quite remember which version of IE there is. I think most likely IE 6, updated. Will report back as soon as I get to work and try to clean out passwords.

Thanks a bunch!
