OK, I recently installed all of the Windows updates, now when my system boots up, it wants a PW. I've been using 98 and 98SE for the longest time, in which it was a little more straight forward to rid yourself of the login. How do I get XP to bypass the login? I want to be able to power my system on, and not touch anything to get to my desktop... Thanks for any help!

dont know if this is why ur having ur prob but i had a similar one

i partitioned my disk and when i did that it automatically created a user for every partition

i simply deleted every other account except the admin one

do this by going to...

start > control pannel > user accounts > change an account > then turn off or delete any other account

this obviously will not work if your account is passworded

also if ur used to win 98 u may wanna go into ur control pannel and in the upper left corner is an option to change to classic view(looks more like 98)

hope this helps ya

I think I know why this happened, I installed the .NET framework as an update, now there's an account in there that says ASP.NET Machine A...

Do I need this acct for anything? If not, say bye bye

get rid of the .net account and your boot up will go thru without logging on.
