If I get rid of the partitions that will still leave the lilo in the mbr, correct? Should I just delete the partitions, or will rm -rf /* get it all?
By the way, I'm installing FreeBSD, and I don't want to disturb my Win2k parition. I am pretty sure I can wipe the MBR, and rebuild it from recovery console... Or will the FreeBSD loader fix it.

1. Insert FreeBSD disk.
2. boot computer.
3. delete Linux partitions.
4. Create FreeBSD slices.
5. Load FreeBSD bootloader into MBR.
6. Finish install.
7. Realize that FreeBSD kicks ass and you dont need no Winders. ;)

I wondered about how the bootloader would work on my laptop since I never told it ANYTHING about other operating systems on my disk...

But after the reboot, the FreeBSD bootloader came up with a menu telling me to hit F1 for "Unknown" and F2 for "FreeBSD". Unknown boots Win2k just fine. ;)

Now if I could figure out how to get FreeBSD to hibernate my laptop I would consider ditching Win2k...
