Getting rid of Adaptec icon in taskbar?

I have the Adaptec Create CD icon in my taskbar. How can I delete it? I am running Win2K btw. I have searched in the adaptec software for a remedy but cannot find one.

it's in the reg... you have to delete a line...

i'll find the exact one..

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> Run.

Why do all these software/hardware makers think their product is so friggin' important that they put an icon in the system tray?

I have more of those disabled that I actually have running. I pity the average Joe that can't understand why his system is running so slow because of this.

Windows 98's built-in startup manager. Very useful, actually, and it can edit most of the system's configuration files along with stopping programs at startup.
