Getting rid of a Homegroup in Win7

I have several machines on a Homegroup, and all work fine and show up and play well together. The machine on which the Homegroup was created on has failed, and I'm loading up its replacement, and while it sees the HG, it won't connect when the password is inputted. It seems to me the best way to resolve would be to dissolve the HG, and start it again with one of the other machines, perhaps the new one. But if I "leave" the HG on the other machines, it still shows that there is an HG to connect to, created by the dead machine. Can anyone suggest a way to work around this? Thanks zz03

On all the machines or just the one that won't connect? thanks for the response! and set it back after all have connected to the HG?
